Monotype Collages

Sometimes I treat a collage as a abstract painting, focussing on color or design.  Other times I work around a theme or subject.  My monotype collages are created with pieces of my monotypes.  First I print monotypes with the colors, designs, or images I want to use and then cut the monotypes into pieces to use in a collage.  The pieces of monotypes actually become the medium I work with.
